As above.Trying to remove my crank on my Pitch Pro to give it all a good clean/grease and swap my middle chain ring.I have bought the specific tool as shown in the video. It appears to be tightened by hand as the bolts are taking the load.
However, I just can't get the bloody thing undone! Any ideas anyone?

Ps I know it's in french but it's the best I could find!

undo the pinch bolts a bit at a time first. then when lose undo the preload bolt.

EDIT just seen the video and that is a poor poor video showing just how to round the bolt heads. they had already loosened them.

Ive undone the bolts and they came out fine but just can't get any purchase using the tool by hand. Doesn't appear possible

should be, try tightening it a bit first also if you have the black tab in place filp it up just incase it is locked into the preload bolt.

Give up.just can't turn that tool and I've almost shredded my hand trying.why would the crank arm be stuck so tight? Going to have to take it to my lbs
  • Pair of grips on the outside of the tool. Whoever put it on has done it tight by hand instead of just literally feeling it nip up.

Don't have a set of grips that will go wide enough! Think that's exactly what has happened mate
  • Happened to mine mate, not got any mates with a set you can pinch for 2 mins? Stick a bit of grease on the threads when it goes back in too. I did mine up with my left hand and only finger tight to save it happening again and it's been spot on at that.
