Hi, I am going to East Flanders for a week at the beginning of March with the wife. Can anyone recommend a good place to stay? We will have our bikes with us as intend do ride some cobbled hills whilst there.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Oudenaarde is the town to stay in....centre of all things cycling and nice town square otherwise one of the villages just outside there
http://www.oudenaarde.be/en/visitors/
http://www.booking.com/city/be/oudenaarde.en.html
all the cycle routes of the tour de flanders and associated tourist routes here .
http://rvv.be/en/tourism/routes
and you can enter the toursit version of the flanders if here in April (road or mtb versions)
if you go the cycle museum in the centre town you can buy an excellent cheap map of routes as well as the downloads above.
All routes pretty clearly marked

Thanks weeve, those are some really useful links. I'm also heading over there in a couple of weeks with the wife and now plan to spend 2 nights in Oudenaarde and do the Orange route before continuing on to Brugge.0

Have you considered the Vrienden op de Fiets organisation? Have a look at their website. Much more personal and reasonably priced than either B&Bs or hotels, in with the families and enjoying marvellous hospitality. We've stayed in Holland, Flanders and Germany with Vrienden and enjoyed the experience so much that we now host through it.0

Just a few ideas for cycling around Oudenaarde. All of them free downloadable PDFiles with bicycle tours:
Scheldevalleiroute 2 + 3

And for more serious work, south of Oudenaarde in the Flemish Ardennes (Vlaamse Ardennen)

'Vrienden op de Fiets' is indeed worth a try with 2 hosting families in Oudenaarde and over 10 in Bruges and it's vicinities.

Just a quick thanks to those who replied above. I had a great few days in BE even if the weather was not too good.
The Orange route around Oudenaarde with climbs of over 20% in the wet on cobbles certainly was a challenge, glad I was able to leave my wife and luggage in the B&B for the day!
I have added a few of the climbs to my Col collection below but they don't really do them justice.0
