Thinking of trying the arione versus with the recessed middle. Anyone own one/ tried one and is it any good? Cheers

Fizik saddles are very good. But, as you will find if you look at posts about saddles they are a personnal thing, and you just have to take the plunge and get one and then another and then another until you find the one for you. Good starting point is width and then firmness.

One advantage of a new saddle is the excuse of breaking it in so you get to go out riding longer and more often. I have been breaking my saddle in for 6 years now :D

Yeah I know that. I have an arione on both bikes which I love but after two hours in saddle can get a bit achy! Tried a charge spoon today that was more supportive on the sit bones but too wide (rubbed inside legs).

Seen the versus on eBay for £50 and quite tempted just interested if anyone has tried one yet......

After a period of trying to find the best saddle for me, I bought a Specialized Toupe Gel a couple of weeks ago after a recommendation. I went to a Specialized concept store (local thankfully) and they have a gadget which measures your 'hoop' on gel pads then advises you which size saddle to go for. Gotta say, thus far it has worked a treat - no more numb Johnson or sore hoop!

Yeah i saw that listing too but you will pay more than the 50 quid cos they're coming from US. Having said that, they will be way more than that when they're available over here ... I ride Aliante saddles anyway and this cut away version should be even better.
