front mech compatability

currently running a 3x9 set up with a high clamp front mech, now i am thinking of going to a double with 36t ring, i have looked at the shimano slx double mech but it seems to be a low clamp design, anybody now if this will work as there looks to be plenty of room to fit it and i cant really drop my current mech down any further due to the bottle boss bolts
