Sold for £2035 with no reserve here.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 617wt_1139

Then seller relisted the same item, same pics, same description, at £3500 buy it now, here

Is this not illegal??

If I was the winning bidder at £2035, I'd be really hacked off. :?

Perhaps he should have set a reserve......

Probably not-but thats the lesser of 2 evils. This site is fairly active in exposing shams, scams and dodgy dealings on ebay, and unfortunately pulling an item that has been sold an relisiting it because you didnt like the price, is a scam. all because he didnt want to pay the cost of setting a reserve.
  • Probably why he did a private listing?
  • I think EBay encourage disclosure of malpractice(s)

Was thinking the same. Does seem to add up to a shill bid auction, private bids and a relist of sold bike. Ebay have been notified.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
