where to find old caliper brakes

I recently upgraded the components on an old steel framed bike I owned, everything was pretty easy except that the brakes on it (which are shocking) have an 8cm reach on them, pivot to pad, and I can't find anything anywhere near that size being made at the moment. As a result I have a bike that goes really fast but won't stop. They also use massive bolts compared to modern bikes.
Does anybody make these sizes at the moment, and if not is there anyone who sells good quality old equipment that might fit.
Cheers

They may be available in the UK also - try SJS cycles.0 -
If it is an "old school" steel frame from the '80s I have a spare set of Weinman 7xx brakes that would possible fit that you could have for a very reasonable cost. I'd need to measure any dimension you might need. Send me a pm if interested0

I had the same problem on an old bike and I gave up looking eventually and made do with what I had. However, I regularly looked at the caliper brakes on kids' BMX bikes and wondered whether they would be suitable. They seemed to be fairly long reaching. I just never got round to finding out.0

Ebay Link: WEINMANN LONG REACH REAR BRAKE CALIPER USED
Ebay Link: DIA COMPE DEEP DROP BRAKES WEINMANN 750 COPY 65 - 85mm
Found these but from USA (Link &Link2): Tektro 984 Extra Long Reach Calipers are made for BMX applications, these are also an excellent choice for upgrading older 3-speeds or any other type of bike that needs an extra long (70-88 mm!) reach. The calipers are solid and well finished, with anti-friction sleeves on the springs.
Found 75/73mm drop brakes:
Link: ALHONGA HJ 402 Front & rear dual pivot brakes with a 57-75mm drop. Ideal for 700c wheels in a 27" frame. Nut fit only

Try the Tektro R556 or R559 brakes. Not sure if these are long enough, they have up to 73mm adjustment.0
