New Reba forks - steering issue

Just fitted some new Reba RLTs to my rockhopper and I've got a issue with the steering 'feel'
Hard to describe it but feels a little dead in the centre but twitchy off centre. I had this feeling before when I tried out some really heavy tyres on the bike (before I changed the forks) and put it down to the rotating mass.
It's a 100mm fork replacing a Dart 100mm, I also changed the headset and fitted a FSA orbit XL2
LBS fitted the fork and headset (bargain for £15!) and they are really good (but away on holiday at the moment so can't ask)
Headset feels very smooth, no centring or tightness.
I haven't changed anything else, the tyres are the same (Maxis Medusa)

Any ideas please?

    not enough sag?

  • Sag about 20%, I'm running them at 130 psi + & - as I'm about 14st, I noticed when I put load on the forks the headset friction increases noticeably (but this could be the tyre on the ground?)
