I was in the front of the Garmin-Cervelo team car for the stage. All was going to plan until Jack crashed on that left hand bend, which left Cam unprotected.

Goss finishing third was the best outcome for the team.

I just watched the last hour and a bit of the stage (recorded last night) and thought that it was a pretty good bit of racing, breaks going, getting caught, another break going then a coming together and a surprising winner. Sure FF will be along soon to tell us it didn't come up to his standards though.

Did laugh though as right at the bit where I started to watch (bottom of first Willunga climb) the first bit of commentary I heard was "and there's Lance Armstrong, 7 times tour winner riding safely at the front" (or something to that effect).

You know you are not in Europe when a rider crashes in front of a crowd and the crowd doesn't do anything apart from take photos.
