i got clipped earlyier by a lorry and altho i am fine and my bike is just scratched i currently have a Fuji roubaix 2 and am thinking of upgrading to either of these bike the BMC is £1300
and the Wilier is £1700
i know the Bmc components are better than i have not sure about the Wilier altho im sure it has.
Looking at doing a few 100 mile sportives as well as a lot of training but ive only had my bike 6 months should i wait or bite the bullet??

    Bite the Bullet
  • I got hit on Monday on way to work. Big audi came out of a side road straight in to me. Surprise suprise he didn't see me dispite the fact I was in high vis and lit up like a christmas deco. Off work for 2 weeks bike in shop to assess if worth fixing a 12 month old specialized rock hopper comp. Only been cycling 18 months bought 3 bikes during this time, trek pilot 2.1 & just recently a Trek madone 4.5 not been on it yet looking forward to the summer. Love cycling & running even more than playing football which I would have found crazy couple of years a go. You don't need to spend loads to enjoy it but when you have bought nice bikes their a joy and well worth it if you can afford it.

buy the Wilier - IMO its a better handling frame presume you have a Mortirollo but have you looked here at the Wiliers?

  • I went to my LBS today and got sized up and had a chat however for the £1800 wilier he thinks the components will only match my current components not be an upgrade therefore i have decided not to by that bike, there was a nice cube gtc pro for £1500 but i was buying one because the Wiliers look amazing but im not spending £2500 to get a better groupset than i have.

Now you know your size, try eBay/classifieds for a top frame and components.
