Should be if the BCD and pattern are the same.
Probably cheaper options out there though.0 -
thanks buddy for the reply
does a 104 sound like this BCD number? If so they share the same BCD
What cheaper alternatives do u suggest to the £15 deore? I was looking at superstarcomponets but they sold out :S
thanks again!0 -
you many need to take a file to the shoulders. to get a fit."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Yep, that sounds correct!
Sometimes it is cheaper to buy a whole chainset and harvest the rings! ie:

They are all steel though, but will last ages, and you get a spare outer too. Plus could ebay the crank arms. I use this set on my Mongoose.0 -
thanks again guys

re. the filing down thing - is that cause of the Shimano Rings have a rounded area around the bolt section, whearase the Raceface are flat?
Is it possible to have shifting problems if the rings are not failed to perfection?
Thanks again0 -
nope it is just the way no one uses exactly the same standard standard. not even the same maker through the range or over the years."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
