Hi , just visiting from the Dark Side. Have a bike with knobbly 26" x 2" tyres. Will other 26" x smaller (ie 1.5"; 1.85") tyres fit? Want to put on tyres more suitable for the road and finding it hard to get them in 26x2. Any advice appreciated. Ta. G.

Yep - 26" is the number. Most rim widths will be fine, just adjust the inner tube size to save weight.

sure no real issues but the rim width may limit just how narrow you go.

have a look at Continental Sport Contact as a for instance.

  • Jeez that was quick - thanks very much for the answers. CRC have a cracking sale at the moment so I'll check that Conti. :D
