Anyone got any experience with Planet x model b wheels?. I have just had a second spoke go on me on my winter hack (alex R500 rear wheel ) after only 800 miles or so of riding and im not exactly heavy!. bought the model B,s on impulse this morning for 125 bucks, I know theres better wheels but got these as the price is decent and hopefully be able to withstand a pothole or two! Now im just looking for some reassurance!! :?

They have been fantastic for me. I have had 2 pairs, the first set are now on g/f's bike and she does loaded touring with them! They are about 300g lighter than anything this side of £250 and are great value.

This happens with all brands of aluminium hubs when a 10 speed cassette (which has slots for taller splines) is used on a 9/10 speed hub. You can specify 10 speed only hubs if thats what you have. There is no problem with a 9 speed cassette on a 9/10 speed hub.

There are other fixes, also, having the lock nut well torqued down will most likely stop this.

I've had mine for 18 months and they are still perfectly straight, I have been very pleased.

I'm waiting for the polished silver to come in. They said via email they would be in stock this week or last but still none. I'm desparate to finish my shiny Ti build!
