sorry, no entry on the day.
  • My local audax and a great early season ride. My entry was submitted three weeks ago.
  • Damn, would have been perfect for me but I'll be away up North on holiday.

Damn! Probably too early in the year for me. How long would it take to walk up Redstane Rigg?

I'll decide a couple of weeks before, methinks.

    Youch!
Leisurly cycle from Dunbar to Mussleburgh, old A1
    Flat at top of Carberry
Windier and wetter the closer you got to Red Stane Rig
Blasting wind and rain into face until Garvald turnoff
Flying down into Garvald on very dodgy roads
    Totally blown at Dunbar
Blow out just before Ballencrieff roudabout in big gear, Flying!
Head down arse up back to Mussleburgh
Then tired cycle back to Dunbar (only 5 mins slower than trip in)
    Totally shattered, legs sore.
    Brilliant Day! :D
  • Redstone Rig + Headwind = Pain

Great day out, but by god, my legs are more than a little sore right now.

    Bad weather in Scotland?

    In February?

    Who'd a thunk it?

Great route though. Weaved my way up Redstone Rig at pretty much walking pace. If I'd known about the wind I would've constructed a sail.
  • Cant agree more , Legs are still aching today , Doesn,t help when u get home and the wife says "Its not been raining here or much of a wind " , GGrrrrrrrrrrr! Great day out though , thanks too all in MRCC .
