  • Not hard to see whats going to happen tommorow Boberidge goes in a break if that fails Farrar tries to take the bonus seconds for the win. Close race this year usually sorted out buy know and willunga is a bit of a let down (expect last year). Tommorow should have some good racing

Yeah this race is super boring. Give me Oman anyday and that is saying something...

The line up is also lightweight compared to last year. No Evans, Valverde or LLS to show them how it is done. I suppose we can only hope that Ballan goes for it tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if Gerrans goes for it but I don't like that guy. Would be nice to see maybe Geraint go for it to.

  • Not every race can have the top GC guys, I think that the field is pretty bloody strong IMO. Queston have you actually watched any of the race?

Of course not Richard. You think I should?

I cannot watch it in any case due to the time zone.

FF, you say that sprints are boring, then we get a stage where a small group gets away early and stays away and you say that's boring too? My question is, how many days a year of cycling do you actually enjoy...as there aren't that many races/stages in a year where Bertie dances away on the pedals to the top of some giant alpine col.

I didn't watch it either but Meyers win sounds pretty bloody impressive to me.

  • Nice to see De Gendt fulfilling the promise he first showed in the Tour of Britain a couple of years back.

+1 - love De Gendt's attitude - always seems to be looking for the break, getting involved.

Nice to see he's keeping the Vaconsolei's excellent policy of short shorts.

    Long shorts are for losers.

Porte, Millar, Lance. First thought on the long short brigade.

Boonen, Hoogerland, Pozzato. Short shorts bridage.

You forgot your old mate Gilbert.

Boonen's are neither long nor short.

Boonens are most definitely higher up his leg than your average rider. Definitely.

How can you say a race is boring without watching it? That doesn't make sense to me.

The Ususal suspects is a boring film, i've not watched it but someone told me who kaiser soze is, how dull.

Apart from all the clumsy product placement/prepared tourism marketing spiel from Liggett and Sherwen the 20-odd minute SBS highlights packages that are available on cyclingtorrents have been good fun so far.

As I've said elsewhere, it's professional bike racing, what's not to like???

Very pleased for De Gendt today, although I'd have loved him to win. Wonder if he'll make their TdF squad???
