gethmetal wrote:first: Queen at Knebworth Park in 1986, Freddie's last show as it turned out.
last: Senser in a squat in Camberwell last September
best: 3 way tie, Queen, Pantera in Newport 1993, Faith No More at Donington 2009
worst: 2 way tie, Prodigy in Brixton 2007, Rage at Donington last year
next: Probably Sonisphere Knebworth in the summer, but a lot could happen before then...
Interesting mix there. shame that most peoples abiding memory of queen is freddie pushing a hoover in drag.

First - New Order or The Wedding Present..
Last - Kasabian.
Best - Primal Scream/ Stone Roses, Spike Island, purely for the event.
Worst by a mile - The Farm.
Next - The Cult on Tues at Rock City0 -
First: Bruce Springsteen, Tunnel of Love tour at Brammall Lane (Sheffield). Was planned to be the last night of the global tour but they put an extra night on. He played 3 3/4 hours on our night but over 5 hours the next night.
Last: Kings of Leon. Hyde Park.
Best: Too difficult to say but special mention for Inspiral Carpets at Reading Festival for most surprisingly good.
Worst: Carter USM at Rock city. Just after the Philip Schofield business and they really weren't happy bunnies.
Next: Kings of Leon at Manchester. The mrs idea. Personaly, wouldn't have forked out after the pedestrian performance of Hyde Park.

1st- Thunder at the UEA student Bar
Worst- See above!! Never been a fan and got dragged along by my missus who loved em. I was bored after about 5 mins and if it wsnt for the fact I had not long got with the missus I would have walked out leaving her with her mates and told her to find me in the car when it was over. I dont really like that kind of music anyway and to have them repeat a really really bad 4 bar riff over and over for nearly 20 mins while they interacted with the crowd just put the final nail in the coffin for me!
Dont get me wrong I love listening to live music over studio recorded albums but I would rather have it on CD to enjoy in my own space :roll:FCN 7

I'm not a great U2 fan but I'd love to have been at one of the original Zooropa gigs just to experience the sheer scale of the thing.0 -
First – U2, Wembley Arena, late 1984, the Unforgettable Fire tour.
Last – Gwilym Simcock at the 606 Club.
Best – The Cure, Crystal Palace Bowl, Aug 1990. The setting was everything that night. Never thought I’d be racing round there 20yrs later!
Worst – Butthole Surfers at Reading Festival, 1989. Amusing, but the sonic assault was never my thing.
Next – probably more jazz at the 606.0
