Cant seem to decide on these two bikes,
Both cost around the same
Both weigh around the same (11.7kg)
90% Road 10% off road.
Was thinking Boardman and using slicks for road use.
As the Boardman is lightweight at 11.7kg i dont think it has the arguement of hybrid vs MTB weight issue ?
Other could be over 700c vs 26", will this make much difference for a casual rider ?

How much difference can it make to me, am just a casual rider.
If both those Hybrid & MTB weigh the same and MTB has thinner Slicks on then am not sure how significant difference the 700c to 26" wheels can make.
I like the option of having one tool for all jobs. I wont be commuting to work on it, just riding at leisurely pace (10MPH-12MPH) on road
If that Hybrid came with 26" slicks then would there be any difference to the 26" MTB ?0 -
Personally I'd get the Boardman, but for 90% road use better to get a road bike, or a CX.

Why not get a cross bike? It would seem better for what you say you will be riding.Bianchi. There are no alternatives only compromises!
