Rockshox Dart 2 2011

Hi,
I have just received and fitted my new RockShox Dart 2 2011 forks to my Trek 3900 after breaking my standard Suntour ones last week, but the forks don't have a lockout. Does anyone know if I can fit a poploc or a standard lockout. The forks have a preload adjustment, but the right hand side just has a blanking plate.
Thanks in advance, Peter.

Yes, but it will cost nearly as much as the forks I imagine. Need a Turnkey damper unit, and possibly a new rebound rod.0

 do you know where I'd be able to get them, looked on ebay / CRC but can't see anything that specifically says Dart 2.2009 Trek 3900 - MTB (Upgraded)

Not really worth the effort or expense.
You've bought the wrong fork really. Should have done some more research.
It's just uneconomical with a 100 quid fork.... Sorry..... :oops:0 -
The prices aren't that bad on the site if its just one of the items I need, but if its a few different ones then I think I'll just forget it!2009 Trek 3900 - MTB (Upgraded)

Will the lockout will be transferable to my new forks or will I have to just replace the whole thing?2009 Trek 3900 - MTB (Upgraded)

You need to make sure you have the correct spring in it for your weight also or the front wil be to soft.0

erm i think it'd have to be the whole thing.
the lockout does work but it can be a bit tempermental :? although a good service should do the trickand about £35 ?

Frankly spending £35 on those forks just for lockout is a total waste of money. Especially if it's 'temperamental'. Add a 'good' service and you may as well buy some £100 Recons from On One.I don't do smileys.

Hi, Sorry for the delay, I'm afraid we've had a death in the family and I have a few more important things to be sorting out, so I'm going to have to say no, but thanks for the offer and the info! Sorry for the inconvenience, I hope you can all understand. Peter.2009 Trek 3900 - MTB (Upgraded)

Do not worry, one of the main advantages of the Dart is the built in lockout, it will lock up and seize quite shortly. Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?0
