Hi I just put some new tires on my carrera vengeance ultimate and tightened up the quick release and went out in the street to see how the tires felt, then i pulled the front and back brake and the front wheel jerked off to the side slightly, so I brought it back in and adjusted the qr to make sure it was ok, and then pulled the front brake and put some weight on it and it did the same, any suggestions?

Make sure the axle is seated correctly in the drop outs, and you are doing the QR up properly.

right, just had another look at it, the qr is seated fine and tightened well. I don't know if this is correct, but the hub is like ricketing about making a clunky noise :s dunno what to do ahhh

That's the cones and bearings then. Some how you've undone the lock ring and cones.

It's easy. Park tools guide and less than a tenner for the tool(s)

    Can of worms there.

Base it on £50 per hour

10 min job if it's just adjustment.

But they are not going to charge for 10 minutes. Normally a minimum charge.
Get some tools, do it yourself, 5 minutes, easy job, and you'll need them again. Guaranteed.

fearnsy - if you can't find it by a simple search I fear for your hubs when you touch them. Perhaps LBS is the best option :?
