crashed merckx bike

I would like some feedback from any riders who have had a similar experience to mine. I recently purchase a LXM merckx carbon bike. Only having been out on it a few times I was Knocked off by a motorist who pulled out on me. I went over the bonnet and was taken to hospital by ambulance. I am fine but the bike was damaged. The fork blades sheered off and the American classic front wheel was knackered. I am waiting to get the insurance sorted out so I can replace the bike. I am wondering if I should get new forks and wheels and use it till i get the money. The bike was inspected by an engineer and no damage was found. can anyone tell me if in the worst scenario it breaks. Will it show cracks before it goes or will it just go while riding it. Cheers :x
