Went out on a ride yesterday and the front disc seems to have developed a problem.

The pads have slightly began catching the rotor. it only slightly catches but makes a noticable noise whilst riding. If I apply the brake the noise goes for a few minutes but then gradually comes back.

Anyone know what is causing this and how to fix?

    sight warp in the rotor.

ignore it. it happens and it also goes.

or if you have to there are two links in the teck links sticky about removing warps from rotors.

You could try loosening the caliper mounting bolts and then re-tightening them while the brake is on.

You could also try advancing the pads as described here: http://www.evanscycles.com/product_docu ... -guide.pdf
  • I had the exact same problem on mine too, but after using the brake for a few hours it goes away.
