Mavic Crossline pull out QR

I have just purchased some crosslines and need to pull out the QR adaptors to use the 12x135 maxle. I might be thick but I cannot find any information on how to do it..... is it with pliers and a bit of force? any help appreciated.....pictures even more appreciated.....
