I have a lovely road bike, which is great for 50-60 mile dashes (Tarmac SL2)
However I end up with back ache.
I am entered into an event in september 5 days >500 miles with climbs
Am thinking a bike fit and maybe need to change to a more sportive type frame?
Anyone with good experience from fitting?

    Lots of threads on this.

    Have a look at www.cadencesport.co.uk

Good price but above all, excellent service and the footbeds are tremendous.

    Transformed my riding.

Lots on here will echo that sentiment...
  • A bike fitting sorted out my knee troubles, and I went faster.

It might be worth a look here http://bikedynamics.co.uk/backpain.htm to help sort your back problems out.

  • +1 for cadencesport.

Moved seat, up, back , new stem and riding is now so much more fun. I am still blown at the top of hills, etc but the legs feel good. I feel solid on the seat rather than skittering around. I have one leg shorter than the other. Adrian worked out which one it was, confirmed it on the measurements and then sorted shims to suit.

    Seriously good value.
