I've just used SPDs for the first time today, and was impressed with the direct feel of them. I think it'll take some time to get used to working out of the seat with them as I keep on feeling that they'll come loose but I just wanted to ask how to get the right place on the shoe? Theyre obviously under the ball of my foot but thats quite a large contact area and wondered if small adjustments would make any difference to function?

  • If they feel comfotable I wouldn't mess too much. However, you could make very small adjustments at a time and see how it goes. Bring your allen key on rides in case it is too much of a change. Mark the original place with tippex in case you need to move the cleats back.
