Crud road racers caliper compatability
Hi all,
Just shoehorned roadracer2's onto my steel Somec, tight fit but seem OK
Unfortunatley Chorus Monoplaners don't have enough clearance, I've swapped to an old grey set of dual pivot 600's which have enough clearance.
Rest of the bike is campy, do their dual picots run fine with the cruds (standard or skeleton), any advice before I shell out? I know I could quite happily stick with the 600's but would prefer some shiny campy. Will go back to the Monoplaners in the summer,
Many thanks

The skeleton brakes look very nice if you can find them now.The newer Centaur and Veloce brakes just look cheap imo, they are much cheaper though.0

My idea was either some earlier chorus dual pivots or centaur skeletons, but do they have enough clearance for the cruds?0

Skeleton calipers are very low profile IME - older style dual-pivots have far more clearanceMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Thanks Monty Dog, there's good clearance on the 600's, would older chorus dual pivots be similar?0
