Which is odd considering they're teams which have guys who've finished 1'st / 2nd / 3rd (I think)

Certainly an unorthodox selection. And only 14 teams.

I notice that there hasn't been an Italian winner yet (and only one podium). Maybe they're trying to trying to encourage one to boost domestic support for the race.

I agree. 14 teams is hardly the stuff of a fledgling classic.

It was the web guy who said it though. He probably didn't know one way or the other.

Yes, last year it was Iglinsky, Löfkvist and Rogers 1-2-3.

Oh well. Go Hesjedal.

Wonder if Cadel will give it a pop after his success in the Giro stage last year.

As much as i'd love to see it I imagine he'd rather focus a bit later for the Ardennes?
