Removing DMR pedall pins

I have sone longer pins to put in my pedals but I'm having issues removing the okld ones....they're all full of dirt so I can't get the allen key in! Anyone else had this and if so how did you oversome it?

pick the dirt out.

water can help loosen it a bit.

Get a needle or a pin and scrape it out. Hardly rocket science is it!
