Does no one think before advertising on ebay? Yesterday I saw a Trek "mounting" bike (presumably makes little baby bikes in the shed with other bikes overnight- if so this should certainly be mentioned in the description) and today this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kona-Hahanna-Stee ... 500wt_1158
Does it come with a free child? It seems that some people aren't actually that bothered if they sell their stuff or not judging by the complete lack of effort!
What's the worst advert you've seen?

Think this seller had the complete bike for sale recently with a descriptive listing. No mention of size, condition etc nor no pics either.

I took a chance on a vague road bike once - £5 start and just up the road. Minimal description, no pic, I figured if it was really junk I'd just drive home past the dump. Bid and left work, by the time I got home I'd won it.
Turned out to be a really nice bike in Reynolds 531 steel. Guy's wife, who'd never used Ebay before had placed the ad. He wasn't too happy about the price, but was a gentleman, and chucked in a pump and saddle bag as well.
Result.I don't do smileys.

Not bad not bad.
That guy with the kona amuses me, he has avid Juicy 5 canti brakes front and rear, even though there is a disc brake up front.0 -
Tell you what I've noticed lately, and that's the SHOCKING number of bikes on ebay with forks on backwards.0

What a stupid mistake to make - anyone can quite clearly see the forks are the wrong way round! I wonder how often he's ridden it like that
I'm sure some of these people don't actually think at all before they list - when writing listings I always think "how will the buyer be reading this" and try and make it as professional as I can.Specialized FSR XC Expert 20100 -
I wonder of the kid comes with the bike in the original post?
If so, I'll let Brad, Angelina & Madonna know, it'll save them a trip to Africa0 -

Yeah but their chavs. They don't think, they just steal to try to get money. Good grammar and punctuation and descriptions are the least of their worries.0 -
that one was actually posted in another thread on here, i sent him a message asking him if he'd ridden it like that, he said:
"DONT BE SILLY JUST AGENUINE MISTAKE THAT THE HANDLE BARS HADN'T BEEN TURNED THE RIGHT WAY BEFORE THE PICTURE SORRY THE BIKE IS FINE"
that was his exact reply, in capitals aswell0
