They do look fantastic, I'm a bit of a fan of this one

Their road bikes get fantastic reviews, so I can't see their MTB's being much different.

Vague review here of the Nerve

    MTBR also has a couple.

They seem the best option if you dont fancy a boardman, only trouble is I dont think there is anywhere you can test one first.

I saw one at Llandegla on sunday, first time in the flesh. Not sure which mode FS but looked nice, was in a root bear colour i think.

  • I was dead set on the Boardmand hardtails but everybody seemed to be buying them with the cycle to work scheme so the Canyon just seemed a bit of a diffferent option. I bet ive looked through every other bike in the £1000 mark but nothing close in terms of spec and weight.

I ordered my Canyon AL 7.0 yesterday from them to be delivered by tomorow so i cant fault the service.

I will let you know how i get on with it.

Canyon and Cube are so 2010. YT Industries on other hand is the best value of them all.

I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though

Hello, YT industries I'd like a XC bike please

    ...That'll be €1600 please...

..wait what? do you have something more affordable for someone who doesn't want a race bike?

    Er no, we don't

Great choice of bikes there then.

Has I said in another topic, my mate bought a Canyon Nerve XC about a month or two ago and couldn't be happier with it. Great value for money, very nice specs too.

Also customer support, although it's all through the interwebs, it's been great to.

AndyB even if you went for XC race hardtail, could you beat value of YT ? They do have good choice of AM-Enduro bikes though, better specced (VFM) than Canyon's or Cubes.

After selling my Iron Horse Sunday last year to fund an engagement ring, i've got the lust for getting back into gravity riding.

Got this on order in black: http://www.canyon.com/_uk/mountainbikes ... tml?b=2090

Can't believe how good the value is, pretty much a free frame if you add up the cost of the kit on it. Plan to drop the front mech and granny ring and use as a downhill/freeride bike.

Looking like early March delivery - can't wait!!

Nice can we see some pics please
  • I've ridden the Canyon Grand 6.0 2010 and it was a great ride especially to start out on. Very light weight so it was easy to get up hills and the whole feel of the bike is what made me decide to buy my own. I ordered the Nerve XC 2010, it should be getting here this week. The online sizing is actually pretty funny and thorough if you want to check it out at Canyon.com. I'll repost when I get it. Yes with pics.

    Seriously, what's the catch?

Are the Dt swiss forks poo or something? because @ £1600 you are buying the forks and the drive train and the rest is free!
  • Very very nice
    I'm jealous now

No, it just gives you an idea of the mark-up that exists on everything. As one of the Hope guys said recently there's no reason why bikes are as expensive as they are, I could go out and buy a motorbike for the same cost. A few more parts and manufacturing time (and R&D etc.) in there.

My Canyon Torque Rockzone was delivered last week!

Came with a front mech and double, which i've removed and gone single ring with a chain device as want to use it for going downhill!

Seems pretty sweet so far, and a total bargain.

  • I got a reply in the WMB office from Steve Worland which said they should have some reviews of Canyon bikesa in the next issue of WMB or MBUK.
