'Classic' Mountain bike advice

Hi
I have an old mountain bike that I have been told is a ‘classic’ Giant mountain bike. It was referred to (I think) as a three triangle frame. At some time in its life ( I have owned it seven years) it has been painted black so no identifying decals are apparent. I have no use for it any longer and need to get rid of it. It is rideable but has some rust on the crossbar.
Is there a market for classic bikes, whatever their condition and if so where would be the best place to advertise it for sale. I live in Devon so might be a long drive from some areas.

Triple triangle? That be GT, although I suppose that's not far from Giant...Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.0

Yeah, fair enough, I was thinking along the lines it was actually described as that, classic, and a name (very) vaguely like GT...Rock Lobster 853, Trek 1200 and a very old, tired and loved Apollo Javelin.0

Thanks all.
It looks very much like the Hawk in photo three of bike-a-swan's reply as the brake cable goes through the stem fitting as in the photo.
Is there a market for such a bike or would I be better just taking it to the local recycling centre do you think?0 -
TBH pics would help as it could be tat or might not be tat."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I wonder how much an original hand built Tom Ritchey frame would be worth? Especially the first run he built which sold to the guys (n' gal) in there club.0

GT will have the top tube running back through the seat tube as in this pic. Will probably have GT stamped on the back of the top tube.
