Hi all 5 months ago i bought a cube atempt aluminium bike with 105 groupset, i love the bike and have racked up some miles it. Im thinking of upgrading to the agree with 105 again,is it worth spending the extra on carbon and on cube again regards bobajob

Not ridden the Attempt but I have a carbon 2010 Cube Agree GTC Race with Ultegra.

Cube are superb value for money when compared to the "big" brand names. My Agree rides like a dream, it's lighter and feels more much more responsive than my Alu Giant Defy.

In short, get the Agree, you will notice a difference in ride quality, but....

before you shell out £1500 or so, go to your nearest Cube stockist and try one out!

Benno our bike history looks remarkably similar!

I would agree with what Benno said. But, new bike after only 5 months!?

all you guys with agree GTC are just getting me so much more excited about my bike (being shipped)

I ordered the Agree SL which is supposedly the same thing in Alluminum. i hope i end up as happy as you guys with the Agree GTCs. Was never planning to spend so much on a bike but a RRP1500 pound bike with discount at 847 was hard to pass.

I was otherwise ordering the pudgy caad8 tiagra which was coming around the same cost.

I was in a very similar situation to you a few months back. LBS (in Ireland) was looking for 899 Euro for a Trek 1.2 with a mix of 2300 & Sora bits. Then I seen the Agree SL on CRC with 36% discount and also had a 10% loyalty voucher to use so 46% off it in all. For just over 100 Euro more than the Trek I figured I'd be a fool not to go for the Agree. Full Ultegra groupset and Easton Vista wheelset for that price couldn't be turned down. Got the White & Red version. Great bike, you will not regret it.

    Hi Bobajob

Think you will be interested in some of the posted comments in this recent thread.

I must admit the Cube carbon bikes look the dogs and seem to have a great spec compared to those from the big name manufacturers in the in the same price range.

New bike after 5 months? I bought my Spesh Secteur Elite last November and have done about 900 miles on it so far (weather has curtailed my riding sadly). However I am sorely tempted to look seriously at one of the Cube carbon bikes. One factor that appeals is that, if you look on the Cube website, at least 2 models are offered with the option of an Ultegra Triple crank groupset. Being much stricken in years, I need the safety net of a "granny" ring for those odd killer hills.

I bought the Spesh from my local Leisure Lakes shop and they are agents for the Cube range so I plan to have a look when I take the Spesh in for its service in February

Yes - the Giant got me back into cycling at the age of 40, the Cube was a present from me to me for sticking at it for 2 years (I had to make up some excuse  )
