Has anyone tried lumsden grinding a rotor so it will run true again and would it be safe at taking roughly 1 mm of the total thickness.

    why? just straighten it.

taking 1mm of a disc that is not much more than that is not a good idea.

^^^ what he said - I trued up a shimano xt rotor - thumbs on the "spoke" part, fingers o nthe braking surface, some gently pushing and job done.

replacement rotos can eb gotten for 20 quid - can't see it is worth grdingin one down and losing 1 mm of an alrady thin rotor would reduce its efficiencu, cna't see it is worth the hassle TBH.

probly best just to buy another the rotor seems to be dished and bent all over the place.
