Hi all
Im a new roadie  ,just got 1st road bike not been out yet still getting suitable gear..

Ive got spd fitted as im use to them as i have them on mtb, just got new shoes and would like abit of advice as to where on the shoe should the cleats be positioned, more to the front or to the back? or is it more to personnel preferrence...

Reason i ask is i want to do more mileage than i do on mtb and like to have them set up right so im not causing myself any problems...

cheers

usual advice is to set the cleat so that the ball of the foot is over the pedal axie

with longer feet maybe move the cleat back a bit

but everyone is differenent, so experiment and see what works best for you
