Chainrings & FSA cranks

I've got FSA Afterburner cranks; the rings are absolutely knackered after a year of heavy use in Pennine mud (and leaving a chain on far too long ). Before I commit, will either TA Chinook or Middleburn rings go on OK? Not anticipating any problems with the granny, but I've heard stories of the middle/outer not fitting easily despite all being 104mm BCD.

they may need some filing of the shoulders as that diameter varies from make to make and middle to outer.

  • Thanks - I thought the problems with chainrings not quite fitting occurred mainly with Shimano middle rings? I am aware most rings can be made to fit; to clarify, what I was wondering was whether these chainrings fit without filing.
