Cube LTD Comp BB question.

I have a 2010 Cube LTD Comp and unfortunately it was sideswiped by a car. I have to replace the rear derailleur, cranks and BB. The rear derailleur was a Shimano XT and I'm not planning on changing that. What I need help with is the BB and crankset situation. I've been contemplating a switch from the Shimano Octalink to an ISIS setup. Good idea or not? And can anyone tell me the size of the BB on my bike, I'm pretty sure its a standard 68mm, I just don't know what length I'll need.

I thought about an external too....the difference is that the spindle only attaches the cranks together and the bearings thread into the bracket but aren't completely internal, correct? Doesn't this require the spindle to be quite a bit longer since the bearings are on the outside of the bracket?0
