bashed derailiuer - shifting probs

Hi,

Clipped my rear derailiuer on a rock this morn and now the chain shifts off the biggest cog into the gap between the cassette and spokes, normal shifting is ok but i keep forgetting and having to pull the chain out of the gap.

Can i tweek something to sort this , its a 2010 XT.

    bent mech or bent mech hanger.

    get it looked and and straightened (or replaced).

    gulp ! dont have new deraliure cash this time of year, hope it can straightened but that wont be cheap either.

    Most likely the hanger is bent, that's what they are for, to bend and save further damage.
