Cove Hustler

Set up as a do it all bike with strong components and light weight - 26.6lbs

Travel is 140mm front and back.

Climbs like a beast (though some just say it's because I'm like a mountain goat), seems like endless travel on fast downhills. Been totally blown away with what the bike can handle, had the frame for 4 years this Feb and replaced the bearings once about a year ago, just keeps going and going.

Thought about replacing it but honestly, it feels so nice to ride I just can't bear to sell it.

Lovely bike, I'd kill for a hustler frame! Especially loving the 2011 fox forks with kashima goodness! Get rid of that nasty yellow sticker on the crown though :P

  • Nice ride you got there, needs some more gold smatterings to go with the kashima 8)
Never argue with an idiot, he'll only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Certainly the best pictures I have seen that really show off the kashmina coating on the foxes! Looks superb I must say.

its not that gold in the flesh, much more muted, but still looks damn good 8) i do like cove's, that looks really nice :)

Well on my monitor I'd say that they're pretty close to what they are in the flesh.

A deep gold colour, some photos I have of my riding the bike in bright sunshine really does show the colour off.

How long are your legs

    Nice bike 8)
  • Very nice! Looks like quite a good spec. I don't blame you, I wouldn't want to sell it either, still got a lot of good life left in it!

Er, really?! My Cove HJ with Rebas and decked out in XTR is 27lbs. I used to have a Hustler, similar spec to yours, weighed about 30lbs.

Guess it's down to the small detail, seatpost with excess inside the frame cut off, hollow pin and cut out link chain, Ti-saddle, carbon xc bars, tubeless kit wheels/tyres instead of heavier tubeless tyres, 115gram stem etc.

When used on their own the weight saving wouldn't be much, but all together it adds up to a big saving.

All this and the bike handles extreme off road adventures, not just the tame trail centres.

As for the long legs :D The frame is a 17", does look on the small side but fits perfect, tubes on the Hustler are pretty well sloped.

    That's really nice.

I don't think there's one thing on it I'd change if it were mine. Looks like awesome fun to ride!
