Caad10 vs Cervello S1?

Am really close to commiting to a new bike and as a 6' 4" and 15.5 stone rider that rides a few Sportives and has just signed up for a London 2 Paris ride this year, I am torn between the new Caad10 and a Cervelo S1.
Both are quality Aluminium frames with rave reviews, that can be spec'd within my budget.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance.

Fpr longer rides and sportives you want the caad 10; the S1 is a harder, stiffer ride - more suited to short circuit races, tt's and the like0

Do both come with a lifetime guarantee?0

no contest - the cervelo wins hands down - a far better engineered frame IMOhttp://veloviewer.com/SigImage.php?a=3370a&r=3&c=5&u=M&g=p&f=abcdefghij&z=a.png

what do you base your "far better engineered" on? From what I ve read the dales are know to have the best alu frames, ie if you look at the weight of the 10 it comes very close to the SuperSix.0 -
I had my heart set on an S1 at one stage but could never get a test ride on one (LBS never had a built up bike). Anyway, I now have a CAAD9 and it's a fine bike.
TBH, I doubt there is a huge difference between them but my simple advice is to test ride both as the fit of one might suit you better.0 -
Personally I wouldn't fancy doing sportives on aluminium, and certainly not something like London to Paris just because it is so stiff, you will feel every bump! I have done big distances on my alu race bike before, but now have a carbon C40 which has introduced me to comfort!!
I love Aluminium to race on, and would love an S1, but carbon is much more comfortable if you have to ride big distances several days in a row. Aluminium will make a man of you though!!Summer - Colnago C40
Race - Wilier Alpe D'Huez
Winter/Commuter - Specialized Tricross0 -

Agree wholeheartedly with view on C40 - bought a completeC40 off eBay for £720! Magical ride for that price.0 -
I have an s1 and love it, done upto 100 miles with no comfort issue's at all.
I had a caad 5 and i thought it was nothing special.
I've seen some stunning caad 9's out there and some stunning s1's.
Its hard choice indeed!... I would get the cervelo again if i was buying but i'd be more than happy with a high spec caad90
