This sounds interesting http://www.bike4bike.co.uk/monchique-sportive. :P
I know this part of the world very well it's fab for cycling, I ride there a lot and in May the weather will be great, well up in the twenties and there are great rides to be had along the west coast too.
Anyone know much about the outfit running this years training camp and this sportive?
The training camp in March sounds a good deal with weather much better normally than Majorca, at altitude especially (can snow in Majorca on the mountains), the road to the Foia gets up to 902m above sea and is a great climb.
You can get brown legs in January in this part of the world!
Cervelo, Lotto Pharma, Rabobank, An Post and may others have had winter training camps in the Algarve, mainly because of the weather and the food. :P
Off on the 14th Feb for a fortnights training and to take in the Tour of the Algarve (37a Volta ao Algarve)
