Hello all, just bought my first carbon frame. Have had the same 653 for 20 years and am only used to the old type of putting together and headsets.
There is a bewildering amount of headsets and I don't know which one to buy. Frame/ forks are a Ribble sportive.
Also I haven't a clue how they fit on, can someone direct me to a thread and/ or a you tube explanation please?
I wanted to get a band on 5700 front deurailleur, but they are like rocking horse poo (at the right price!!) I need a 31.8 band on and can't get one, so have ordered a 26.3/31.8, whats the difference?

Have a look at Parkers website for tutorial on headset fitting, or Youtube.
The 26.3/31.8 should have a shim that is used for the smaller diameter.

Possibly slightly cheaper elsewhere.

You could always buy a braze-on version off ebay for £19.95 and buy a band-on adaptor
