Shimano Sora vs Shimano 2300 parts

How much value is there in buying a new bike with SHimano Sora parts rather than the bog standard Shimano 2300? IS the differnce that noticeable?

    I'm not sure there is much difference between the two.

    Having had Sora shifters I think you're much better saving a few pennies more and getting Tiagra shifters.

    The Sora thumb shifter is an arse whereas the Tiagra and above have another paddle behind the brake lever.
