This morning the puncture fairy struck, as i wasnt that familar with my new bike the repair took a while. I read that i shouldnt turn my bike upside down in the owners manual (ridgeback flight 03 hybrid) so i left upright and lowered to the kerb resting on my mudguard and that rear derailleur (is that ok? seems fairly robust)

Thanks in advance

I have Deore hydraulic brakes and the bike has been upside down to repair punctures many times, no issues. In fact they have been on the bike 10 years now and have never needed anything other than new pads!!

it will only cause problems if there is air in the reservoir and you pull the lever.

Blimy never knew you should't turn it upside down, I do and on many occasions, shimano diore brakes, will check in future, thanks for the info.
