Be interesting to see how this one plays out. Will there be a 'pro France' reaction to FDJ, Cofidis and Europcar being left out of the 'World Tour'?

The 18 plus 4.... (FDJ, Cofidis, Europcar, Geox, Saur-Sojasun, Skil e.t.c)

I'd like to see what everyone thinks...

I think ASO have said you need at least 30 French riders in the race, so AG2R plus at least two more if not three French teams plus one more. It's odd they aren't waiting until later as the carrot of a wildcard was something that made the smaller teams scrap hard.

That said the didn't impress too much in Paris-Nice with actual results, the likes of Vacansoleil and Saur only ended up showing they struggled to deliver.

It will be Cofidis, Europcar, FdJ and Geox. I really can't see it going any other way.

According to Eurosport France reporter, no wild card for Geox...

    Sounds weird to me.

Take out Menchov and Sastre and the Geox team is very weak. There's also the Gianetti factor to consider so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if ASO didn't invite them.

Yeah, but they do have Menchov and Sastre. Take most teams' top two riders away (riders who haven't won every GT between them) and they look fairly ordinary.
