Giant Rapid 1

I intend buying the Giant Rapid 1 and would like to change some of the equipment to that on Rapid Advanced. Fitting 105 5700 brake calipers I expect to be straightforward, along with Avid Speeddial 7 brake levers [ just to have black levers rather than given Tektro alloy].
Now, this is where the matter gets awkward (for me) - Is it possible to fit the 105 5700 2 ring crankset for the given Shimano 4550 34/50 (I am guessing this is from the Tiagra groupset)? According to the Chain Reaction website 105 5700 crankset will only work properly with dropbar STI shifters. Will the given Shimano R440 18 speed shift lever still operate correctly with 105 5700.
Finally, out of curiosity, can the 105 5700 10 sprocket cassette be fitted in place of the given 105 5700 9 sprocket cassette. If so I assume Shimano R770 20 speed shift levers would be needed, as on the Rapid Advanced?
