Cannondale sizing?

Currently riding a L (55.5c) Defy which i find comfortable (obviously with changes to the handlebars and saddle height)
I've recently ordered a Cannondale Synapse Alloy 105 @ 58
However, over the last 48 hours of casual browsing, i've noticed quite a few references about Cannondale sizing being "different"
I'm now thinking that 58 might be a size too much.
I'm just under 6' 1" with an inseam of 34"
Is the 58 gonna be OK, or would I be best served by dropping to 56?

    I've the same height and inseam measurements as you and would order the 58. I test rode a CAAD9 last year, and the 58 was perfect.

    Hopefully that's allayed some of your fears? Have you ordered online or via your LBS?

    Ordered it (by putting a deposit down) over the phone @ Evans Bristol, probably via a central warehouse.

    58 should be fine

    I've got a 56 systemsix. I'm 5' 11'' it it is just right. The 58 should be spot on for you.

    The advantage with Evans is they will keep getting bikes in for you until you find one you like (I tried 3).
    I would be very suprised if you needed a 56 as I am 6'-4" and with a 34" inside leg (so not much different from you) and I finally settled on a 63 Cannondale.
