Camping, Northern Ireland

Hi all,
I live in Bangor Northern Ireland and last year i went camping in Newcastle on my mtb in the camping site "Tollymore". This year im hoping to go somewhere different.
Anyone and ideas? Distance isn't much of an issue and id like there to be good facilities and good rides nearby.

How long did you spend in Newcastle?

Surely there are loads of trails to explore in the Mournes. Spent half my childhood there as my Mum's family are from that neck of the woods and we would travel down practically every other weekend from Newtownards.

You could try looking slightly further out beyond Castlewellan or further down the coast towards Silent Valley.

Do people still go riding in the "lead mines" off the main Bangor to Ards road?
