Now this sounds like a good value event unlike some of the ones I did last year which just wanted to take your money, there is even camping included as well. Will be worth the drive up.

We are still adding things to the event. There will be a specific event website coming in a couple of weeks.
It will have a full breakdown of the beer festival, entertainment etc. And then when we know how many beers we have and the prices. I also want to do a list of the food prices at the festival.
There will be no hidden costs.

    Cheers

After riding Polocini's 1st sportive a couple of weeks ago I know this will be a great one and combining it with a beer festival is the icing on the cake. You could tell that Al put a lot of thought into his 1st event and it really felt like something that was orginised by someone who knew what would make a great event instead of just wanting to make money. This was one of the 1st sportives I have done where I felt like I was not being ripped off. I for one will not hesitate to make the 300 mile round trip for this event.

Bam49- Is the fact it's in Oldham, putting you off???? The route goes out through Saddleworth and over to Holmfirth.

Also following on from the signage issues at the winter sprinter we now have 200 correx solid arrow signs.
Also after feedback from the sprinter I have also bought track pumps for the start and feed stations.
The first feed station is now at a village hall so I can offer hot drinks and toilet faclities. We have Viking porridge and cereals before the event again and then after we will
be serving Post ride pots of: Beef goulash with pasta,
    Tuscan meatballs & pasta,
Channa & spiced couscous with mint yoghurt (v),
Pasta with cream tomato sauce (v), and we will be adding
pig in a bun, bratwurst with spiced potatoes, chicken & chorizo jambalaya.
We will also be including £18.50 worth of Cnp nutrition products including a free bottle (full of drink).
    Cheers

Wow Al, sounds even better, proper feedstops, proper food after the ride, proper energy products, and proper beer the night before with free camping. Glad I booked early, sounds like it would win an award for the best value sportive.

Bloody hell I signed up for the ride without knowing about the food - sounds well worth the cash :)
  • I can vouch for Polocini events - the food and routes are top drawer. I'd do this one but it clashes with a prior engagement. The feed stops are superb, but you shouldn't be motivated just by calorie consumption (in spite of the beer festival...!) the route on this one looks pretty handy too. This is the long one - you'll all have a ball and I wish I was there too...

Anyone going down the night before - think I will be as long as the weather holds. If you are shout up, might have to have a MAMIL corner at the beer festival.
