Conti 4 seasons. Not cheap though.0

If punctures are your nemesis try a pair of Schwalbe Durrano Plus.

Michelin krylion carbons ....... there is no subsititute ..0

I like Schwalbe Marathon plus in winter - about as puncture proof as you can get. A bit fiddly to put on the rim, but once on, you probably won't need to take them off again until they wear out - many thousands of miles later.0
-
For outright puncture resistance also try Gator Hardshells. Fewer punctures than the 4seasons and hardly any cuts either but on the down side quite a harsh ride and be careful with wet corners.0

Can't say I agree here - unless your talking only about puncture resistance. Grip isn't great - and they are very sluggish - little advantage over much cheaper rubino's0 -
Don't waste your money on the krylions, awful grip in the wet-I should know as i've come a cropper 3 times this winter using them.
I'm going back to my Hutchinson Equinox0 -
Krylions have been brilliant tyres for me, grippy and low roll resistance, perhaps you got the Malaysian batch and not those made in France, who knows ...... but seriously, what tyre is going to grip well in ice and frost and other wintery conditions? ... not many.0

I swapped from Continental gatorskin to Vittoria rubino pro3, 25mm for the winter and have been very impressed. Touch wood no punctures in the past month and a bit. There is a lot more grip in cornering as well.0

Vittoria Open-Paves if you've got loads of dosh to spend, Michelin Krylion Carbons if not.0

Agreed. Just remember to take a day off work to fit them.Basso Astra
Principia Ellipse SX
Kinesis Racelight 4S
Kinesis Crosslight Pro Disc0 -
Vittoria Open-Paves - Faultless 2k+ miles and unbreached.0

Marathon Pluses for ultimate puncture protection, or Bontrager Race Lite Hard Cases for a lighter tyre with still good protection.0

WHat pressures are you running????
and what tyres are you using?????
I have used all sorts of tyres and i run them all at 110psi. Very very rarely get puntures while a mate runs at 90ish psi and always gets puntures! even with the same tyres!0 -

Depends what rim you are fitting them on. Fulcrums are a pain no matter what tyre you eventually manage to get on.

Really? I have Fulcrum 5's, both road and MTB variety and tyres seem to simply fall onto them. Compared to my other DT swiss rims anyway. I'm using Schwalbe Ultremos on the racing 5's and Maxxis singly plys on the red metal 5's. I just ordered Krylion Carbons to go on my road bike for winter, was hoping they wouldn't be too bad.Not climber, not sprinter, not rouleur0 -
Krylions lasted a couple of rides for me before punctures set in, didn't like them, so they are in the back of the garage somewhere!.
Conti is where its at for all round tyres IMO.0 -
I also use the Open Paves and they roll amazingly well and a very comfortable tyre on the current rough potholed roads.
Very grippy and sure footed but personally I have found they cut quite easily. Saying that I've done nearly 700km in the last few weeks where the roads are as bad as they usually get (post snow and rain etc) and I have only had 1 puncture.
The cuts are easily fixed with some superglue anyway so in my opinion they are worth the trade off.
I have recently used Gator Hardshells, 4 seasons, and also Ultremo DD and reckon I'm sticking with the Paves.
