    Be interesting to see how far down this is enforced. Presumably not your average 3/4 or even 1/2/3 - but what about UK Elite races - Premier Calendar? E123 at Mallory ? Even if it's is applied only to National A races in the UK it will find some riders having to buy a different bike.

    You'd think it would be simpler and cheaper to restrict it to pro tour or highly ranked UCI events and just carry on a system whereby the teams have to register equipment they are planning to use and the UCI can demand to inspect what they want from that list.

    it's a hard life if you don't weaken.

    The Cheshire Cat was an 'UCI approved' sportif a couple of years ago. Would they want only approved bikes on their rides now ? :D
