Very nice. I do like the frame shape of the GT. Pity they couldn't be bothered to colour in the Wilier on the downtube though. :(

I read a review that wasn't glowing either. Although to be fair, I'm not sure if the reviewer was crap or whether the bike just isn't great. Wilier are a prestige brand, so I find it difficult to believe they'd turn out a turkey.

I picked up the Gran Turismo on New Years eve and I have only ridden it for about 5 miles purely to get the seat height and stem height etc. set up. With all the ice and rather inclement weather we've had I do not want to throw the Gran Turismo down the road, I have the other bike for winter riding.

However, comparing it to the 2010 Izoard I had briefly the Gran Turismo is smoother but a little more focused. The Gran Turismo replaced the Izoard as there was a fault in the carbon on the top tube of the Izoard.

I didn't get the Gran Turismo based on what can only be described as a rather incorrect review in 'Cycling Plus' I got it as that was the bike I wanted and I like the Wilier brand.

Last November I popped into a large independent bike store just over London Bridge in the City of London and I was speaking to one of the managers in there about the GranTurismo, he said hold on a minute and disappeared out the back of the shop only to come back with his own GranTurismo which he had bought himself. His words were it rides very similar to a Cento 1 and he had wanted one since when he was invited out to Italy by Wilier in the summer when they introduced the GT to the trade. Now this guy could have had any bike he wanted but his words were 'I couldn't wait to get hold of the GT, it is a great bike'.
