Hotmail query...

Hi all you smart people - sent an e-mail using hotmail and went as normal. However, I noticed that it is in my 'Sent' folder (good), but also in my 'Drafts' folder (bad). As it's a job application I don't want to send it twice unnecessarily. So... do I have any cause for concern? Thanks for any advice. G.

Things in your Drafts folder won't be sent automatically. That folder is for saving partially completed emails before sending. As long as you don't actually go to it and click send manually, you'll be fine.

As it's a job application I don't think there's anything wrong with a follow-up e-mail asking them to confirm receipt of your application.

It can't hurt, but finding out after the closing date that they didn't receive it might.

    Good luck with it.

I'm with Lucan. A friend sent her CV and application for a job recently and it got "lost" somewhere. Call and check they got it.
  • Thanks for the advice - sent a query e-mail with no problems so hopefully it'll be OK.
